And The Dragons Do Come: Raising a Transgender Kid in Rural America
My review
Partly memoir of a coupleβs struggle for acceptance for their transgender daughter, partly then a work of education and advocacy for transgender people. I have friends who were raising transgender children in Alabama in the same timeframe that this author was, and I have a nonbinary kid of my own. Itβs refreshing to hear the clarity of concern and message. (My enby kid read it before me and gives it two thumbs up.)
